About Me

I am not new to blogging, but I have never been very successful at it. My last blog, which focused on weight loss, had a whopping 3 followers.

When I was a teen, I loved to write in my diary. Having concerns that I was involved in things she would not approve of, my Mom read it. I was horrified! I disposed of that diary and thus the cycle was born. I am a list maker, thought writer, etc. But, I always tear it up, delete the files, etc.

I have recently retired from the healthcare field after 26 years of nursing. As I try to figure out what I want to be when I grow up, this seemed like the perfect time to try my hand at blogging again. In the past, my success (or lack thereof)  I believe hinged on my fear of revealing too much about myself. I have a desire to “put it all out there” BUT I want to do it on my own terms … anonymously! Thus came Nonny Moose.

I am not a writer worthy of being published. But, I do always have these thoughts rambling around in my head waiting to be written. I am not an expert in grammar and love to use … in most everything I write. I also love the ! and will use it often!

I am not a fine art photographer, but I do love to take photos. My camera is ever present. I do hope to learn to make those beautiful photos that I see in all the best blogs one day!

I am not an artist, but I do love to craft and have even managed to sell some of my work. Most of it, though, I give away to friends & family … whether they like it or not.

I am not skinny, but I am always on the quest to loose weight. I love to research recipes, herbs & natural home remedies.

I am not perfect, but I am a child of God.

I hope you will follow along with me as I journey through this next stage of my life … seeking inspiration, creativity, happiness.

  1. I’m also in the blogging 101 course. I do some writing too, and my daughter just started her second year of nursing. I’m looking forward to more of your posts. 🙂

    • Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to leave a comment! Nursing is a tough career but rewarding on so many different levels! Good luck to your daughter! Looking forward to seeing more of your writing during the course!

      • You’re welcome! And you’re right, nursing is both tough and rewarding. She does post-op ortho, and likes that area. Thank you re the blog posts, and I’m looking forward to reading more from you as well. Cheers!
