When I was in my late 30’s, I worked night shift. 7pm to 7am. In order to avoid the 3am crash, I would drink green tea. Bunches of it! Every night! For almost 2 years. Green tea is good for you. And, even with all that I did drink each night, it did not affect my sleep during the day.
When I went back to day shift, it was like I suddenly could not even think about green tea without getting nauseous. Now, my stomach is very iffy about what I drink. Maybe it is a stomach thing. Maybe it is all in my mind. Nonetheless, I have to be very careful.
I get bored with drinking plain water. I know that I am not alone. Sometimes, you just want something flavorful & refreshing, something to wake your taste buds up! A nice cold glass of sweet tea! Yum! But, when you are trying to lose weight, that just doesn’t mesh.
So, about 6 months ago, I started experimenting with all of the recipes out there for fruit infused water. I like the combo with lemon, orange and lime the most … until today. I found Rosemary and Strawberry Detox Water online and all I have to say is WOW! This stuff is good!
I was not thinking when I bought the strawberries & I only got one package. It contained exactly 15 strawberries. I wanted to stretch it out. So, I cut the ingredients in half but still added enough ice and water to make 2 liters. It’s still great like that! But, I can’t wait to taste it made to recipe!
Now, I must say that I did not fact check all of their claims. But, to be fair, it is just water, ice, rosemary and strawberries … just like the title claims. I can say that I have had a headache since yesterday. This water has not improved it. But, even if it does not live up to it’s claims (I am not saying it doesn’t … just a what if) in most cases it won’t hurt you (unless you are allergic to or have some medical reason for not consuming either of those ingredients). And, it tastes so good! Best of all, my stomach agrees!
