One week on the hcg and I am so close to the 160’s! Yeah!
My favorite recipe finds this week were …
It tastes so good on fresh spinach or a salad. And it is so simple to make! I put 4 strawberries (the recipe called for 6 strawberries, but I found it a little too thick and more than I needed for a serving), 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar, 1 tbsp lemon juice & 1 packet stevia in a blender and voila! The little bit that found it’s way from my salad to my fish also tasted good!
This concoction I made in an attempt to mimic an hcg approved version of Taco Bell’s Fruitista. I put 4 frozen strawberries, 6 oz strawberry powerade zero, 1 tsp stevia & a handful of ice cubes in a blender. Once mixed, it may not be a fruitista but it is a tasty hcg approved summer treat! Tonight, I am going to change the strawberry powerade zero to the lime powerade zero for a strawberry limeade! Can’t wait!

Run a couch to 5K in September
Due to the lag in energy this past week from my body adjusting to the VLCD & hcg, I was only able to run two out of the three scheduled days to reach my goal in the couch to 5K. But, I was able to take two long walks and to do Bob’s Weight Loss Yoga 1 day. So, not a total fail! I am going to attempt to get back on schedule this week as I now feel stronger and better!
This past weekend was my birthday. I have no idea who Les Brown is from the quote. But, I felt it was very appropriate for becoming another year older and still fighting the fight to reach my goal of getting healthy by losing weight and running a 5K.
