Yesterday, I finally broke my plateau! Yay!
Motivated by the loss, I was eager to try a new workout that I had found when researching ways to jump start your weight loss or break a plateau. That was one tough workout … for me anyway!
After I completed my workout, I was looking at my numbers … I had burned 464 calories and I didn’t even repeat the circuit B & core parts a second time. (too exhausted!) The article said a person would burn around 300 cal. When re-reading the article later, I discovered why! I had repeated the first cardio part instead of just repeating the circuit. No wonder I was too tired to do the entire workout!
Note to self … read the instructions more carefully!
If you are reading this post and are thinking about losing weight, starting an exercise plan or your motivation is lagging on your current journey, I found a good article ! It certainly put things into perspective for me.
According to the article, I am currently pulling myself out of yet another relapse …
It is completely normal to lapse into former behaviors. If you notice that you’ve slipped, instead of beating yourself up, consider relapse as an opportunity to examine what helped you succeed and what were your blockades. Coming up with a new plan to address obstacles, whether they are old or new, may give you the adjustment you need to dive back into your new behavior.” www.livestrong.com
That was comforting! I did exactly as it said, I identified the problem areas, redirected my goals and I am on the path again to success!
Now, off for my run!
