Weight: Starting 190, Last 178, Current 178
I was teetering on the edge of 177 1/2, but I stayed with the 178. I hope for a great weigh in tomorrow! But, I fear my lunch out will sabotage my efforts! Crossing fingers!!
- pears 60 / 0 / 14 / <1
- cottage cheese 80 / 1.5 / 5 / 13
- 1/2 grilled chicken salad 426 / 7.5 / 69 / 20
- unsweet raspberry tea 30 / 0 / 4 / 0
I am surprised at how secretive Applebees’s nutrition is … no official info on the website and very conflicting info on other various nutrition calculators online. I just used my best guestimate from what I could find!
- beef jerky 80 / 1 / 4 / 15
- water 24 oz 0 / 0 / 0 / 0
- beef fajita 310 / 14 / 17 / 33
- molten caramel mini 150 / 4 / 26 / 2 (Yummy! Love it!!)

Short, sweet and simple today!
Goal: Get “into” running!
Happening: My inspiration, goal and happenings today are all interrelated. I used to run when I was younger. Nothing competitive, just with a neighbor for fun! There is nothing like the runner’s high that follows a great run! I have been wanting to get back into running for a couple years … just lacked consistency! I would get into a schedule, get some of my stamina back and then quit for a couple weeks.
Over the weekend, I was reading on a magazine’s website about getting on a running schedule and increasing your distance weekly. I would link to the website, but I made a copy of the schedule and have since forgotten what site it was on originally. Anyway, I made a commitment to start … on Monday! 🙂
Monday it is! My goal was to run 1.5 miles. I knew I was not going to be able to start out running all 1.5 miles. So, I did intervals of walking and running. I think I did pretty good the first official time out.
We used to have a perfect spot where we lived to walk. But, not where we live at now! The road is too narrow and there are too many eyes watching us all the time. Crazy! I know! But, I just cannot picture my jiggly rump, sweating, out of breath self running here! So instead, I drove the 3 miles to my son’s school for a little privacy! Then, as an added bonus, I spent 25 minutes on the playground with my son.
Anyone who has not spent time on a playground in a few years should really give it a try for some fun exercise! I could feel the burn in my arms as I was leaning back to swing higher & higher! And how about those steps up to the slide! But, my new inspirational motto for this week came about first for my starting the running program and second as my son was afraid to go across the hanging slidey thing! (I don’t know it’s real name, but will get a photo next time I am there!) NO Fear!
