Week Four Gerd Diet √

Rain, rain go away!

I know we need the rain! I understand that April showers bring May flowers! But, it does nothing for my motivation! Even today, I rode my exercise bike indoors. But, the dreariness in the air just made my workout suffer!

As for my weigh in. No changes since my mid week weigh in. 179!

So, time to pep talk myself! My Mom planned a mini get-a-way for us all in June. It is just shy of 7 weeks away!

7 weeks X 2 lbs per week = 14 lbs possible IF i work really hard. 179 – 14 = 165.

My goals for this upcoming week are:

1) Increase my calisthenics from 2 sets to 3 sets per day this week.

I currently do 2 sets of 10 headlifts (a double chin thing), 10 situps, 10 oblique situps on each side, 10 pushups, 10 squats, 10 calf raises, 10 jumping jacks every day. Sometimes I do both sets in a row. Sometimes I do one set in the am and one set in the pm.

2) Do cardio every day!

I have slacked off since the cooler, wet weather has set in. I realize I could be a die hard athlete and walk in the rain but let’s just face it. I’m not! But, I still have no excuse. I have a mini trampoline, an exercise bike and tons of exercise DVD’s.

3) Skip my splurge day and go back to healthy splurges each day.

I am thinking of this in the 7 week factor. I can go 7 weeks without a “ruin my efforts” kind of splurge! This week, I am going to give the yoplait delights parfaits a try for an evening snack. I am not a big fan of artificial sweeteners. But, for a 100 calorie healthy treat, I am willing to give it a try!

4) Down the water!

I, for the most part, do not like water. I usually get 1 bottle (16.9 oz) in per day. 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup juice and 1 cup diet soda in the evening. And I only just recently started drinking the soda because I found out that I love diet A&W Rootbeer! Yum! That’s it! And that is not near enough fluids! Yesterday, I actually did drink 2 bottles of water, but that was only because we were moving boxes to storage and I was hot and thirsty! I know all the experts say to drink lots of water to excreet the fat & toxins. So, I have a lot of catching up to do.

About nonnymoose2014

I have recently retired from the healthcare field, nursing. As I try to figure out what I want to be when I grow up, this seemed like the perfect time to try my hand at blogging again. In the past, my success (or lack thereof) I believe hinged on my fear of revealing too much about myself. I have a desire to “put it all out there” BUT I want to do it on my own terms … anonymously! Thus came Nonny Moose.
