My brother discovered a few months ago that he gets chocolate induced migraines. Because of what it did to his body, he swore it off for good. I rememeber when he told me that and I said to him that I could never live without chocolate! Do you know what I learned these past two weeks? It is possible to survive without chocolate! I know! I know! But, it is true!
Week two following the GERD diet has gone well. I did take one day to “splurge” when my mother had dinner for the family at her house. She made some German faire … schnitzel (fried!!), pickled red cabbage, potatoes (again fried!!), & cake to name a few of the no-no’s. I made sure to (somehow) eat in moderation and stay in my high end caloric intake (1500 cal) that day, despite the splurge and hoped the pickled and fried foods would not keep me up all night. It didn’t!
Weight: Starting 190, Last 185, Current 182
3 pounds! Hurray! That is 3 more paperclips moved from my VERY long paperclip chain. 🙂 And leaves me 22 pounds from my first goal of 160 pounds by July! I CAN do this!
