I have struggled with indigestion & acid reflux for at least the last two years. It has become increasing worse over the past few months. I wake at least one night a week with the burning liquid running up my throat, taking my breath away and causing terrible coughing episodes!
Despite what I just told you, I find I crave OJ late at night. And two nights ago, I made the HUGE mistake of drinking two glasses of it before bed! I not only suffered that night. I suffered the entire day yesterday and again last night …despite acid reducer pills and tums. Why do I do that to myself??
Today, I am better for the most part. I have a little ache in my gut. Hopefully it is enough of a reminder to avoid those things which trigger the GERD and motivation to lose this excess weight!
Unfortunately, some of my food loves are among the “avoid” category. Chocolate! Tomatoes! OJ! Soda! Ice Cream! Tea! Did I mention chocolate!?!
