Before Thanksgiving, my boys, their gals and I started a weight loss contest. We paused briefly to enjoy the holiday. And as of January 2nd, we began again full swing!! The contest is the same but the motivation has changed. With one proposal Christmas 2008 and the other proposal Christmas 2009, I am now up against 2 brides and their grooms! All I say is …bring it on!!
This round, we decided to try couples. I, however, am paired with my 12 year old child. His goals are not so much to lose weight but to instead increase his activity level (He is a total book worm!) and to eat better (or should I say to actually eat fruits and veggies).
I started this round not so motivated! It was so hard to stop eating sweets everyday, to avoid the soda and to get back in the groove of exercising. I do seem to find that motivation in external sources. One of those sources is Biggest Loser! I am so happy to see it back on again! But another is to search the internet for motivational stories, exercise videos and nutritional tips. The area of my body that I so wish I could change is my double chin. Even when I am thinner, it is sagging. This brings me to the actual point of my post today …
Did you ever think exercise could be so funny?
