Of course when you start losing weight, people want to know how. After I first tell them that I am on the hcg diet, they immediately want to know what it is. And invariably when they find out I am self injecting, they want to know if it has any side effects. The questions only get “deeper” when they hear about the very low calorie diet. Is that safe? What do you eat?
Well, I must admit that the food has become boring since starting 2 weeks ago. I am not very creative when it comes to cooking. And, after fixing the kids meal, I don’t want to put much effort into mine. Side effects to date are only the initial headache, most likely from caffeine withdrawal and not the meds. I did feel sluggish the first couple days. Then I had enormous amounts of energy. However, the last couple days, I feel sluggish again. I am not sure whether it is from the diet or the fact that we have had endless rain with gloomy, no sun to be seen days. It is days like this that I would normally seek comfort from food – today I am craving my Mom’s beef and potato pie. Yum! But, for now I’ll just have to dream of how it tastes instead of actually eating it!
Today, my son encouraged me to exercise with him. I started out saying I will do just 15 minutes. At the 15 minute mark, I aimed for 20. Well, I survived a 30 minute workout. I think it did pep me up for the most part of my day. And the good news is I am minus 18 pounds to date! Hurray! That alone is enough to keep me motivated!
For those who have made it this far, I would be happy to answer any of the above questions. Just give me a shout and let me know what it is you would like to know.
