For those who know me or have read my “About Me” page, you know I love to craft – even if it is sometimes a child like craft. Recently, I decided to get some friends together for a pot luck and crafting session. The food was great! But, some of the ladies felt they were not creative and were hesitant to do a craft. So, I needed to keep the craft easy. Music angels seemed to fit the bill. They are quick to make, fairly simple and they leave room for individual creativity. The first time I made these, I made them tiny so I could use them for Christmas package tie ons. However, for this craft day, I wanted them to be larger. These turned out around 3 1/2 inches tall. The person who really felt like she had the least talent actually made the cutest angel (photo above). We called her Pocahontas because we felt she looked like a little Indian angel.
This second photo is a variation of the same idea, using a smaller head and adding arms and a song book. I only wish I had given her a big oval mouth as if she were singing.
This craft would be a great idea for a school classroom, Sunday school or VBS.
