Proform GR80 exercise bike

 Proform GR80
Yesterday, we made a great find! A brand new, already assembled Proform GR80 recumbent exercise bike for only $50 at a yard sale. I was thrilled! And, so was my hubby since he did not have to put it together.
Today it has once again turned cold, so I decided to give my new bike a spin. It has a smooth pedaling motion and made no rattling noises. It has four preprogrammed workouts. I decided to just use program #1 to start with. Now, keep in mind I am overweight and very out of shape. However, this was a very easy workout. It cycled through 30 minutes of varying resistance levels keeping me “on target” between 12 and 14 mph. My heartrate did not exceed 100 bpm. The LED dislay runs on 4D batteries and is very easy to read and operate. And according to the display, my workout burned 142 calories and clocked 6.674 miles. The seat is not the most comfortable, but it sure beats the banana seat or the seat of a traditional upright. haha! I turned on the fan, just for grins. But, decided it was not worth the battery power it would use.
I am thus far very happy with my purchase. I’ll keep you posted!

About nonnymoose2014

I have recently retired from the healthcare field, nursing. As I try to figure out what I want to be when I grow up, this seemed like the perfect time to try my hand at blogging again. In the past, my success (or lack thereof) I believe hinged on my fear of revealing too much about myself. I have a desire to “put it all out there” BUT I want to do it on my own terms … anonymously! Thus came Nonny Moose.

  1. I promised to update this post and realized I have yet to do so. I still have this bike AND with many hours (and hours) of use by me, my boys and their girlfriends, I am not at all disappointed! It does have a few creaks since it is no longer brand new. However, my boys occasionally bring this into the living room to use during movies and it is not even enough to disturb the tv volume. Definitely 2 thumbs up!!
